Obituary - The Barnesville Enterprise - Michael A. Slevin, Former Resident Dies: Michael A. Slevin, resident of Boardman, Ohio passed away Thursday afternoon, January 28th at Knollview Nursing Home in Muskegon,Michigan. He was born in Barnesville on December 22, 1874, a son of Edward and Hannah Gallagher Slevin, and spent his early life here. Since September he had been visiting in Muskegon with a daughter, Mrs. Eloise Clark. His wife, the former Mary Ursula Maguire preceded him in death. Surviving are one son, Bert R. Slevin of Boardman, three daughters, Mrs.Eloise Clark of Muskegon, Michigan, Mrs. Doris Grether and Mrs. Velma Goldin both of Akron, two grandchildren, and several nieces in Barnesville. Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. CharlesChurch in Boardman with a burial made in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown. Michael married Mary Ursula McGUIRE, daughter of James Francis McGUIRE and Sarah Ruth POULTON, on 9 MAY 1900 in Mingo Junction, Jefferson Co., Ohio. (Mary Ursula McGUIRE was born on 22 APR 1878 in Temperanceville, Belmont Co., Ohio, died on 22 NOV 1940 in Akron, Ohio - Summit County and was buried on 26 NOV 1940 in Rose Hill Burial Park - Akron, Ohio - Summit County.) The cause of her death was Stroke.
