Obituary - Barnesville Enterprise: Mrs. Josephus Cox: The death of Mrs. Josephus Cox occurred at her home on South Chestnut Street, Wednesday morning at 9:30 after a long illness of complications. The deceased was asufferer all her life, and in the past few years her mind had become impaired from the disease and has been confinded to her home for several months. Sarah Elizabeth Cox was born near Graysville, Monroe County, September 11, 1859, and was the daughter of Jacob and Frances Dougherty. After her marriage to Mr. Cox they sent most of their marriage life near Batesville, but about ten years ago moved to Barnesville, where they have been highly respected citizens. She was a devout and loyal member of the Roman Catholic Church and lived her beliefs by helping others in time of need. She is survived by her husband, who has been a faithful helpmate, tenderly caring for her in her tears of affliction; also one daughter and two sons, Mrs. John J. Wyant, Toronto, Ohio, Ezra H. Cox, Chicago and John K. Cox of Barnesville. Besides these, she leaves one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Benjamin Watson, Toronto, Ohio; John William Dougherty,Canton, and Sylvester Dougherty, Barnesville. Funeral arrangements are yet incomplete.
