Willie Franklin GRIFFIN

Raised by his aunt and uncle, Jim and Ann Shrader. He and Lillie were married by L. D. Hargis, Jr. They owned and operated a farm on the Kentucky and Tennessee State line. Willie was active in all phases of community affairs that promoted the growth of Stewart County. He was School Board Member for 10 years and drove the first school bus in that area. He was active in political affairs and served as election officer for many years. They were of the Primitive Baptist faith.

Willie married Lillie Ann SCOTT, daughter of Gashum Lindsey SCOTT and Nancy Ann SUMNER, on 26 DEC 1909 in Stewart County, Tennessee. (Lillie Ann SCOTT was born on 12 OCT 1890 in Trigg County, Kentucky, died on 7 AUG 1963 in Bumpus Mills, Tennessee - Stewart County and was buried on 9 AUG 1963 in Carr Cemetery - Trigg County, Kentucky.)
